Short term effects
Relief of tension and anxiety, drowsiness, driving and co-ordination
impairment
Long term effects
Hangover, increase or decrease the effectiveness of other drugs, especially
dangerous with alcohol, destroys blood cells, jaundice, coma, death

Benzodiazepines are classified as a "CLASS C " drug
under the Misuse of Drugs Act
